  • Children’s Swimming Lessons
    We offer a 7-day programme where we cater for children from aged 4years and up in our 6 level academy (inclusive of four widths lessons and two lengths levels).
    From our practical involvement, we have designed a bespoke syllabus and tailored it to each level in accordance with our pool configuration, where we operate a 6 level technical based swim academy.
    As a token of our gratitude to our loyal customers all current customers receive priority re-booking from one term to the next.
    If you are not currently in our lessons you can drop into our pool and complete an application form where we will then add you to our waiting list – it will depend on your availability along with demand as to how soon we may be able to accommodate you.

  • Adult Swimming Lessons
    Due to work / family commitments, all our adult lessons are offered on a pay-as-you-go system.
    We offer lessons on Monday evenings at 20:15 (priced at €10 per lesson) and also ladies only lessons on Thursday mornings at 10:45 (priced at €8 per lesson).
    While it is a pay-as-you-go system we encourage all our participants to turn up as regularly as possible to achieve best results. Outside lesson practice is also strongly advised.

    A list of all our public sessions and prices can be viewed on our website, this is updated seasonally.

FAQ – General

Do I need a euro coin for my locker?

There are no lockers in the changing rooms, instead we have blue baskets to keep all your belongings. You can store the basket on the shelves located on the pool bank while you have your swim.

What time should I arrive for my class/lesson?

We advise that you arrive 10 minutes before the start of your class/lesson. That gives time for you to pay/sign in at reception and get changed.

The front door is often closed between sessions to prevent groups overlapping in the changing rooms.

Are there showers I can use after my swim?

Yes, there are separate showers for men and women beside the changing rooms.

Can I watch my child’s lessons?

We have a balcony viewing area overlooking the pool. Adults/non pool staff are not allowed on the pool bank.

Are photos allowed?

For child protection reasons photographs are not allowed either from the balcony or in the changing rooms. Anyone caught taking photographs will be asked to delete them from the device.

Can I pay by Credit/Debit Card?

Yes, we now have a card machine that can take payment using debit/credit cards.

Are there procedures in place in the event of an evacuation?

Yes, we regard our customer’s safety a top priority at Terenure College Swimming pool. There are emergency signs which will guide you in case of an emergency. You will also receive instruction from our Teachers, Lifeguards, and Managers who will ensure that everyone is evacuated in a safe manner.

Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with the layout of EMERGENCY EXIT signs while at the pool.
